Rediscovering AntiFolk: Embracing the Cringe and Authentic Self

I’ve long been a fan of Indie Folk Rock, indie films, and melancholia of all shapes and shades. Recently I rewatched the film Juno. Its awkward rawness, strange tempo, genuine characters, and amazing soundtrack pulled me in. I found myself listening to the soundtrack on repeat and rethinking my high school years, now almost a decade behind me.
